Smart Rectifiers

RECOM is rolling out a new range of rectifier ICs to allow customers to build their own discrete DC/DC isolated power supplies. The range includes a fully integrated full-bridge rectifier with smart output-voltage limiting that occupies less board space than 4 diodes, and a rectification controller IC for use with an external FET, suitable for either high-side or low-side rectification.

RACPRO1-S480 DIN-Rail AC/DC Series Converters

RECOM is launching the RACPRO1-S480, a new cost-effective and compact DIN-Rail PSU rated at 480W in convection cooled environments from -40°C to +60°C, in a format of just 135 x 140mm, 52mm wide. Additionally, the parts can deliver 576W up to 45°C and 720W for five seconds, avoiding the need to over-specify a converter to cope with surge loads. Maximum operating ambient temperature is +70°C. Adjustable outputs available are 24V and 48VDC with a DC-OK signal provided. A valuable feature included is an extended return voltage immunity of more than 35V at 24V and 63V at 48V for back-feeding loads such as decelerating motors. Constant current or parallel modes can be selected. Input is universal single-phase AC with active power factor correction and inrush limiting, or 88V to 370VDC. No load power consumption is 4.2W maximum.

RACPRO1-S240E DIN-Rail AC/DC Series Converters

The cost-effective and reliable RECOM RACPRO1-S240E DIN-Rail AC/DC series is only 125 x 139mm, 39mm wide, yet provides 240W output from -40°C to +60°C with just convection cooling and to +70°C with derating. Under certain conditions, even higher power is available, with up to 288W up to +45°C, and 360W for five seconds for surge loads. Adjustable outputs include 12V, 24V, and 48VDC, with return voltage immunity of better than 35V at 24V or 63V at 48V for back-feeding loads such as inductors and decelerating motors. A DC-OK signal is also provided. The AC Input has active inrush control and selectable range: 85V to 132VAC or 175V to 264VAC single phase, for world-wide operation.

RPMVH-0.5 Series Regulators

The new RPMVH-0.5 series of cost-effective, non-isolated buck regulator modules from RECOM delivers 0.5A of output at fully regulated nominal voltages of 3.3, 5, 12, or 24VDC, with inputs that can vary up to 115VDC. Efficiencies of up to 90% and a thermally enhanced package enable the modules to operate at full power, reaching temperatures as high as 100°C, with derating to 120°C.

4kW E-Mobility DC/DC Converter

The new RECOM RMOD4000 series of compact, plug-and-play DC/DCs is a cost-effective solution to provision of isolated 14V, 28V, or 56VDC network rails from a high input voltage between 180 and 950VDC from traction batteries. Up to 4kW is available depending on variant and input voltage, and a conversion efficiency of up to 95%, along with baseplate or liquid cooling options, results in cool running and high reliability and lifetime.

120W DIN-Rail AC/DC is the smallest on the market

When space and cost are at a premium, the RECOM RACPRO1-S120 DIN-Rail PSU is the solution. Offering 120W output power from -40°C to +60°C ambient in convection-only cooling, the part is just 100mm high, 112mm deep, and 28mm wide, achieving 500W/liter power density and an efficiency of up to 93.3%. As a bonus, up to 144W is available to 45°C, with a further power boost to 150% for five seconds for surge loads. Adjustable output voltages are available at 12V, 24V, or 48VDC, each with an extended return voltage capability of more than 35V at 24V and 63V at 48V, for immunity to back-feed from inductive and motor loads. A DC-OK signal is also provided. Input is universal single-phase AC, or 88 to 370VDC with active inrush limiting.

300W Railway DC/DC Features 110VDC Output and 12:1 Input Range

RECOM has extended its 300W railway DC/DC range with the cost-effective RMD300-110-110SUW model, featuring a fully regulated 110VDC output. Input range is ultra-wide 12:1 or 16.8V to 137.5V, to cover all common nominal rail voltages worldwide, with dips and surges according to standard EN 50155. Operation is allowed to 14.4V for 100ms and to 170VDC for three seconds and hold-up of 10ms minimum is also included across the whole input range, to allow for supply dropouts with no loss of function.
